The Boston Alumni Chapter Professional Networking Exchange provides Northeastern alumni with valuable resources.
The program meets on a monthly basis and allows graduates the opportunity to explore a sampling of the resources available from their fellow alumni and the possibilities of personal and professional relationships.

With the summer fast approaching, we ended another season of the Boston Alumni Chapter Professional Networking Exchange. What better way to celebrate, than by mingling with fellow alumni and guests in the Alumni Center! Our guests took this opportunity to trade contact information with fellow Huskies they had met through the Exchange, and made plans to meet up with one another over the summer months.

The Northeastern University Career Services Department helped our guests to both prepare for a job search and to remain abreast of résumé tips and interviewing skills. Each year, career counselors provide guidance to thousands of students and alumni to help them land that perfect job. Princeton Review ranked Northeastern #1 in Career Services so our audience received information from an award-winning team! This was truly a helpful, informative, and entertaining presentation by representatives from Career Services as they identified the services offered to alumni, current job trends, industries on the rise, career change or career management guidance, and other tips.

Before our next batch of Huskies graduated in May, the Boston Alumni Chapter welcomed seniors to Husky Nation with our Professional Networking Exchange’s Spring Reception. This proved to be a great opportunity to meet with fellow alumni, as well as with students who are reaching the end of their college careers, to share the common threads of a Northeastern education. Whether the connection was made through co-op experiences, a college or major, a favorite professor or course, or a love of Conor Larkin's, the Boston Alumni Chapter helps our local Northeastern alumni to remain engaged and involved with their alma mater and on this night they enjoyed conversations with seniors and alumni alike, while also celebrating the warmer weather and the ongoing Northeastern Alumni motto of "Huskies Helping Huskies."

Red Bridge Strategy principals Matt Sullivan, L’02, and Cindy Carpenter, MBA’96, were employed by a global IT consulting firm in Pune, India – Matt as the vice president of risk management, and Cindy spearheading the company's global sales operations. Matt has also lived and worked in Korea and Germany, while Cindy has lived in Israel and Japan. The two discussed their personal and professional experiences living overseas, as well as the lessons learned working in the global services business.

The holiday season is not just for enjoying delicious recipes and family traditions. It also provides us with an opportunity to attend a number of parties, gatherings, and celebrations filled with old friends and potential new contacts. Jack Moynihan, MPA’93, and John Tobin took center stage to help our alumni enhance their palette of networking abilities by working a room, making lasting business and social connections, and leaving feeling content with a number of valuable opportunities. This interactive presentation prepared our guests to circulate, converse, and have their small-talk skills tested as Jack and John passed along tips that have worked for them, all in the spirit of the holidays!
