NU@Noon provides a broad range of educational and intellectual activities for retired, semi-retired, and other adult participants. This educational series offers alumni and friends the chance to learn and embrace the knowledge of the university’s award-winning faculty, community leaders, and industry pundits.

For events held at the Burlington campus, guests are invited to bring a lunch, or enjoy our complimentary light refreshments.

NU@Noon Education on the Road: Visit to NU's Marine Science Center

When a warmer sun peaks through those dark winter clouds and the birds begin chirping we know that spring is upon us! Join fellow alumni and friends for a day outdoors at Northeastern’s  Marine Science Center. The group will tour the campus and hear from experts and graduate students about their research and the equipment they use.

NU@Noon: Soaring to Space: A Northeastern Student’s Dream Come True

Time: 12:00 PM

Dowd will be one of the first and youngest civilians to fly to space next year after winning the Metro International Race for Space in 2012. Dowd will fly aboard an experimental shuttle with private company Space Expedition Corporation (SXC). The Race for Space contest was held in 22 countries worldwide. Justin created a unique animated video using specialized chalkboards to explain Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity and beat out entrants from 22 countries around the world.

As we mark the 50th Anniversary of the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have A Dream Speech”, and the 60th Anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court decision, Professor Hall returns to tell his story.
