The Office of Alumni Relations is thrilled to announce multi-platinum
singer-songwriter Jewel as the special guest artist for Northeastern
POPS on Saturday, May 5, at Matthews Arena!
Jewel was nominated for Female Country Artist of the Year in 2010 and
has received numerous accolades, including four Grammy nominations. Most
recently, she was enlisted among a select group of acclaimed musicians
to join Christina Aguilera as an adviser on NBC’s hit television show
“The Voice.”
Northeastern POPS coincides with Commencement weekend, and we are
expecting a full house at Matthews for this incredible night of music.
This concert, showcasing the talents of the world-renowned Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra,
conducted by Keith Lockhart, H’98, and the singular style of Jewel, is
sure to be one of the most popular events on campus. It’s an amazing
opportunity to enjoy fantastic music, plenty of camaraderie, and the
company of thousands of fellow Huskies!
