Save the date for our fourth annual Women in the Law Conference, which
will take place on Friday, May 11, 2012. This year's conference will
once again be open to non-NUSL graduates. There will be numerous panel
discussions and breakout sessions to strategize with others in your
field about how best to embrace the changes in today’s workplace.
Experience a full day of dynamic presentations, networking, and mix and
mingle with faculty, presenters, and alumnae. Our keynote speaker is
Gloria Cordes Larson
a public policy expert, lawyer, and business leader Gloria assumed the
presidency of Bentley College in July 2007. She joined Bentley from the
leading law firm Foley Hoag, where she co-chaired the Government
Strategies Group. The topics and panelists promise a day of intriguing
dialogue and discussion.

will be held on March 16, 2012. Jointly sponsored by the Office of
Alumni/ae Relations and the Program on Health Policy and Law, this
interdisciplinary conference will explore the myriad ways that health
reform efforts impact law, policy, and health law practice on a national
and global level.

Susan Duprey ’76 named Outstanding Woman in Business
The New Hampshire Business Review has presented Susan Duprey with their
2012 Outstanding Women in Business Award. The award recognizes and celebrates the success and achievements of women in New Hampshire’s business community.

Meltsner’s new play confronts the Guantanamo “Torture Years”
The first dramatic reading of In Our Name: A Play of the Torture Years,
Professor Michael Meltsner’s searing depiction of how and why the
nation found itself brutally treating the men it detained — some with
good reason, some with stunning caprice — after 9/11. The event will
take place on March 27 at the Boston Playwright’s Theatre. In May, the
play will be performed by CUNY theater students in New York City.
